CSR "Plan a Tree, Plan a life” Tree Planting 2019
In order to create awareness on the importance of Environmental Sustainability, Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd carried out this year's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by planting trees.
On a bright Saturday morning on 30th November 2019, a group of 43 participants gathered at Kg. Sijangkang Mangrove Recreational Park. The participants were employees of Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd and its subsidiaries as well as family members of the employees. The were there to have fun whilst "helping" the environment.
The event started as early as 8.30 am and began with briefing by Mr. Fazrin the Recreational Park representative and a speech by Ms. Aminah Mohd Taib, General Manager Group Corporate Communications.
We started by walking onto boardwalk through the forest and mangrove. The length of the boardwalk is 800 metres. 50 mangrove plants were planted on that sunny day.
Before adjourning a mini tele match (Sukaneka) was played amongst the Muhibbah's family members.
We hope that this our participation contributed to the rehabilitation of the Mangrove Park and above all promote the need to sustain Mangroves for the future.

"Bijak Media Sosial & Dunia Siber”
In collaboration with Malaysian Against Pornography (MAP), an educational talk on "Bijak Media Sosial & Dunia Siber” was organized on 1st October 2019 at Sekolah Kebangsaan Cyberjaya. A total of 270 standard six students were involved in this programme.
This programme was to create awareness to young children on using the social media smartly and safely. It is also to help protect the children against growing numbers of serious online issues such as viewing inappropriate content, cyber bullying, cyber predators and screen addiction.

"Get Together Fun Day with Kanak-kanak Orang Asli”
On 28th July 2018, Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd (MEB) organized a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity, "Get Together Fun Day with Kanak-Kanak Orang Asli” at Perkampungan Orang Asli, Pulau Indah. The objectives of this CSR were to bring smile and happiness to the kids and cultivate the spirit of volunteerism among participants with community services. In order to encourage participation within the company, Group Corporate Communications (GCC) initiated a "Drop to Go” basket around the office for employees to donate used clothes. The collected items were distributed to the Orang Asli community.
The Department of Orang Asli Development (Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli – JAKOA) is the Malaysian Government Agency entrusted to oversee the affairs of Orang Asli. It was formed to protect the Orang Asli and their way of life from the rapid development of civilization and exploitation, as well as providing facilities for education and development suited to their needs.
Our presence on that day brought tremendous cheer to the kids who are always looking forward to visitors.
Their joy was evident during the tele-match activities "Musical Chair”, "Membawa bola dengan sudu”, "Cari gula-gula dalam tepung”, "Lari sambil membawa bola”, "Tiup belon sampai pecah”, and lastly "Fashion Disaster” in which the MEB’s staff participated with the kids.
More than 50 kids participated in these activities, and some were a little bit shy initially, however after some encouragement by our friendly committee, they happily joined in the games. The activities went smoothly, each of them received hampers for every game that been held regardless if they win or lose.
The tele-match activities ended at 12.00 pm followed by lunch. The kids received packed lunch from "Uncle Jack’s packed lunch” which includes rice, fried chicken, drinks and an apple. The Kids seemed to enjoy the packed lunch given.

At the end of the day, the kids have received "Goodies of Happiness and Hampers”, and the villagers received donated cloth by our generous MEB’s employees.
We hope that this activity had brought some cheer to the kids and this activity was indeed a platform for all of us to be grateful in our lives.

"One Book, One Hope” World Book day at Sek Keb Cyberjaya
In conjunction with the "World Book Day” on 23rd April 2018, Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd organized "1 Book 1 Hope” initiatives. This objective of the CSR program was to enrich students’ mind via reading. The chosen school for this was Sekolah Kebangsaan Cyberjaya.
Sekolah Kebangsaan Cyberjaya located in Cyberjaya, is one of Malaysia’s Smart School. The school is built on 11 acres of land and was opened in the year 2000. The Smart School initiative is one of the seven flagship application that are part of Malaysia’s Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) project. Initially the school concept’s was "Smart School Level A” but due to budget reduction the concept was changed to "IT Based Cheerful School"
We were so warmly welcomed by teachers and students upon arrival at the school. The event started with opening speech by the Headmaster of En Mohd Zahari Mohd Noor, he welcomed and thanked us for choosing their school to be part on our CSR project.
Due to limited funds, some of the facilities in the school are insufficient. Most of the activities held by the school were funded from PIBG or from parent themselves. In line with the "World Book Day”, Muhibbah had decided to donate books at the school. To encourage participation from within the company, the team placed "Drop & Go” boxes around the office for employees to donate used or new books.
490 books Muhibbah donated to the library. We were glad to see the students happily receiving the books.

CSR "Spread the Love” at Rumah Seri Kenangan, Cheras
On 13thJanuary 2018, Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd had organized a CSR activity "Spread the Love” at Rumah Seri Kenangan (RSK) located at Sg Long, Cheras. This visit was to bring cheers and smile to 160 senior citizens.
This house was first built on 1965 by Department of Social Welfare, Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development.Rumah Seri Kenangan (RSK) was established to provide care and protection to the elderly poor and abandoned, so that they can live in peace and enjoy a good quality of life. As at December 2017 there are all together 160 senior citizen, out of which 63 are bedridden.
Our presence on that day brought tremendous cheer to the residents who are always looking forward for someone to visit them and spend time listening to them.
Several activities were held for the residents. Among the activities were lucky draw session, karaoke, and lastly birthday celebration. Muhibbah donated 3 light wheelchairs to the home on top of individual goodies to all residents.
It was indeed a memorable event for all of us as we were able to carve some smile on their faces. They were so happy and clapped enthusiastically for each of the activity that were held for them.

"Back to School” programme at Good Samaritan Home, Klang
On 21st Dec 2017, Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd held it’s Back to School programme for 30 pax underprivileged children from Good Samaritan Home in Klang, Selangor.
This contribution, under MEB "Back to School Programme” was initiated to ease the burden of the home as they prepare the children for the new school year.
Each student received school supplies which include a complete set of school uniform, shoes, and stationary set.
We hope that the "Back to School” supplies they have received will allow them to focus on their studies and we wish them success in life.

MEB’s CSR Rangers Participated in a Gotong Royong Activity
The objective was to clear up the dried branches of Taman Bidara’s cycle trail that leads to "MEB’s Fruit Orchard”. Since the cycle trail is open to the public, clearing up the dried braches would encourage the public to practice a healthy lifestyle.
Towards the end of the gotong royong, MEB’s CSR Rangers had the opportunity to re-visit "MEB’s Orchard” and witnessed the progress growth of "MEB’s Baby Trees” namely Jambu Bol, Tampoi, Durian Hutan and Kasai. The gotong royong ended at 12.00 p.m. and followed by refreshments. At the end of the day, the CSR Rangers were contented to be part of this activity.

Potrait of Love - Visit Cancer Kids at Oncology Ward PPUM

On 8th of November 2016, MEB organized a CSR activity, Portrait of Love- an event with Cancer Kids of Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya. One of the objectives of this event was to bring some cheer to our little superheroes. A total of 22 little superheroes received a "Box of love” and MEB also contributed 2 sleeper chairs for the carers who are staying overnight. |

Plant a tree for a better tomorrow
In conjunction with Earth Day which falls in April this year, Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd organized a Tree Planting Activity as part of its CSR initiative. This event was held at Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. One of the objectives of this activity was to promote environmental sustainability concept through all MEB’s Activities.
A total of 30 fruit trees were planted which included species such as Kasai, Durian Hutan, Tampoi, Jambu Bol, Mentega and Asam Gelugor. Some of these species are threatened with extinction due to deforestation, logging and human activities. Thus, apart from greening the area, we also contribute to preserve the long lost forgotten trees. At the end of the day, the participants had a wonderful feeling in this significant activity. It was our hope that this activity will help to make this world a better place for our future generations.

Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd yields smiles on special students of SK Sungai Sireh
On 13thof November 2015, Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd (MEB) visited SK Sungai Sireh, Kuala Selangor to bring cheer to the special students. A total of 30 special students received gifts for their daily use during lessons. MEB contributed electrical items for the special class usage. It was our hope that this contributions benefited the special students to develop skills for their future.
